RARE PLANTS

Aloinopsis schoonesii has been growing for a few years. At least 4
since we last had these members of the mesemb family that includes
the Living Stones and Iceplants and such.

Brighamia insignis - Olulu - is the most endangered plant in Hawaii.
We sold through last year's crop and this years are looking hot. You
can find them in the Houseplant room.

Cereus spegazzinii is the original night-blooming cereus. It's a
sprawling climbing cactus with stunning pale pink flowers.

Parodia subterranea is nice. I like it. I think you might too.

Euphorbia obesa is one of our regular plants that we've carried for
years, and then we ran out! It took us 6 months to finish off the
next crop for you. Beautiful.

Uncarina roeoesliana is a delicate little caudiciform. Actually,
it's one of the easier ones to grow, and the yellow flowers are
pretty, too.
CACTUS

Cleistocactus straussii - Silver Torch. We always have these.
There's some new big 6 footers out, and we'll have some 1 to 2 foot
plants later in the month, but mostly I included this because I
liked this black and white photo I took.
 Cochemiea setispina
is related to the Mammillarias, as if I had to tell you.

Echinopsis terscheckii - Cardon Grande - is finally out in 4" pots.
I don't know why we never had them this small before; they're
adorable. They want to be petted.

Ferocactus glaucescens - I only have one of these available, but I
thought I would photograph it for posterity.

Ferocactus gracilis ssp. coloratus in medium size is a stunning
bloomer, at least if it ever warms up around here.
SUCCULENTS
First up this month is the AGAVES.

Agave desmetiana is mostly vertical and vase-shaped. Toothy margins
but not overly aggresive.

Agave medio-picta "Alba" looks like we hand-painted each one. (No,
we did not.)

Agave sisaliana mediopicta has a narrower white stripe, and softer
leaves.

Aloe spinosissima in 1 gallon pots, because everyone needs the
Spider Aloe.

Aloe thraskii is a giant tree aloe that does well enough around here
to get 10 to 15 feet tall. These are just babies. They need someone
to love.

Crassula rupsetris is similar to the various Jade Necklaces (C.
perforata), and yet not the same either. Hmmm.
We've got a whole big bunch of ECHEVERIAS, some new for us, others
having been missing for a while.

Echeveria agavoides is back after having run through the spring
stock a couople months ago.

Echeveria elegans is back after about a year. It's a classic.

Echeveria glauca is a very small, and very blue, little
rosette-forming succulent, and is this month's plant that makes me
say "Yay!" Stunning.

Echeveria peacockii is a beautiful silver color. I say silver, but
really it's a blue-grey.

Echeveria "Topsy Turvy" has never even been out of stock, I just
like our current crop a lot.

Echeveria "Violet Queen" is a stunning red-tipped member of the
crassulaceae family from Mexico. Indeed.

Euphorbia flanaganii - Medusa's Head - We had some large plants
starting last winter, and people have been asking for smaller ones
ever since. So fine, here, the smaller ones are finally ready. OK?

Euphorbia milii "Dwarf Yellow" is cute, don't you think?

Graptoveria "Debbie" is back and I think you like it, I think you
really do! That's why we grew some more.

Pachyphytum longifolium is barely even distinguishable from G.
"Debbie". I'm kidding! They;re all unique, every last cultivar.

Sedum lineare

Sempervivum "Red Rubin" is already almost sold through, so get 'em
while you can, until our next crop in a few months. Popular!
AIR PLANTS
We always have lots of new Tillandsias all year round, but I don't
usually feature them on the monthly list. Until now. I wonder why?

Tillandsia caput-medusae x brachycaulos

Tillandsia ionantha "Peach"

Tillandsia ionantha x baileyi

Tillandsia x victoria
HOSES
 OK,
so what if we have some new hoses. They're a very high quality,
sure! And lead-free drinking water-safe. Of course! But most of all,
they're the most reasonably priced quality hoses we've ever found.
Some are coil hoses and others are not.
