Have I mentioned that we like the native Dudleyas?
Dudleya caespitosa, can be found as far north as Monterey.
They like a lot of sun, slowly clumping with individual rosettes reaching up to 12″ across. They like rocky outcroppings and are fond of nearby sheep.

Sea lettuce is a bright green algae composed of lobed, ruffle-edged leaves that are coarse and sheet-like and resemble a leaf of lettuce. The leaves may appear flat, thin, broad, and often rounded or oval. Its leaves are often perforated with holes of various sizes.

Well, who knew that there were plants and algaes with the same common name? Now we know the overlap between cactus and seahorses.
